At this time we invite you to have a look at her short film “La ballata dei senzatetto - The ballad of the homeless”. Here a small preview. “The Ballad of the Homeless” is a short animated film. It’s a poetic and surreal journey into the lands devastated by the earthquake in Emilia (2012), through the eyes of a child and his friend, a snail. Together they face and discover the values of solidarity, hope and will see the rebirth of the land and face the fear. Now the short film is also an illustrated book for children. “Maestrale” is a short film realized by Nico Bonomolo, winner of the David di Donatello 2022 for the “Best Short Film” category. “Maestrale” is also in the long List for Short Films at the Oscars® 2023. Here’s the trailer of the film. Nico Bonomolo is an Italian animator and director, born in Palermo, Italy, in 1974 and since 2008 his carreer is totally dedicated to illustration and animation.
With his short films, Nico Bonomolo has won many prizes as one David di Donatello, the Bruce Corwin Award at the Santa Barbara Festival, the Gryphon Award at Giffoni Experience, two nominations at David di Donatello, one nomination at Nastri d'Argento and one nomination at the Golden Globes.
